Hi! I’m Sara Blum. I have always been passionate about mental health and supporting others through life's difficulties, and it is truly an honor to work with individuals who are determined and eager to improve their quality of life. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work and have previously worked with children, delving into child-oriented modalities such as Theraplay, child-centered play therapy, and sand tray therapy. Working closely with children gave me a firsthand understanding of how early relationships, emotional experiences, and attachment patterns influence the way people see themselves and connect with others. That perspective continues to guide my work with adolescents and adults. As a therapist,  I bring a calm aura to the room and strive to create a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative space where clients can safely explore their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences. My approach is rooted in a psychodynamic approach, helping clients gain insight into patterns that may have developed over time while building greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence. I also draw from other evidence-based modalities and theories, including Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to create an integrative approach tailored to each client's unique needs. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Together, we explore not only what is happening in the present, but also how past experiences may continue to shape current emotions, behaviors, and relationships. I believe every person has the capacity for growth and healing. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, develop healthier coping strategies, and make choices that align with the life they want to build. Above all, I value authenticity, curiosity, and the therapeutic relationship as powerful tools for lasting change.
