Rachel (Cheli) Peles, LCSW, is the Director of Clinical Operations at Crown Counseling. A licensed clinical social worker with a background in trauma treatment and clinical leadership, Cheli is responsible for the systems that surround every course of therapy at the practice, including the day-to-day operations that allow clinicians to do their best work.
Cheli trained as a trauma therapist. She completed the two-year Integrative Trauma Program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and specialized in the treatment of trauma and abuse, with additional training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Prior to joining Crown Counseling, Cheli served as Associate Director of Hotline Services at Shalom Task Force. She worked as an independent clinician specializing in domestic violence, childhood trauma, and sexual abuse.
At Crown Counseling, Cheli works alongside the clinical director and supervisors to ensure that clients are matched thoughtfully, that clinicians are well supported, and that the practice runs to a consistently high standard of care. She is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree to further her education in healthcare law and the regulatory environment in which mental health practices operate.
